A Maltese Carnival company has our attention...and we're living for it!

It's Carnival Week and Malta is no stranger to it. We've been celebrating this event since the times of the Order of St. John.

Valletta becomes a melting pot of colour, lights, synchronised dance and floats with caricatures made of papier mache all carrying a specific message.

Carnival Companies spend months preparing for this event - building, creating and always bringing something new for the delight of people of all ages.

This morning, one particular company grabbed our attention - the team behind Titti Carnival Company had an important message to share and for such an occasion and they also dressed in the colours of Pride!

Their message stated:

Diversity & Equality have always been an important factor in our company. We can say that from the start we never had issues in which gender expression our dancers wanted to perform. Both men and women are equal to us.
This year we came up with the idea of wearing shirts in the colours of Pride as a display of respect towards these people who have the same rights as anybody else.

We surely believe this is a first in the history of Carnival in Malta!

Raymond Mallia is the founder of this Carnival Company and has also helped Allied Rainbow Communities in building their float for Pride 2019 and therefore we can attest that this company has truly Equality at heart!
