We're happy to introduce our second participant within Everyday Heroes, Body Issues Project; welcome Karly May.

"Being born with physical characteristics that didn’t match my gender identity made me feel lesser and that life had taken something away from me. To be honest, that feeling never totally disappears but through the love and support I received by the people closest to me and through self love and development, I learnt to share my story with pride.

Getting to this point was not an easy journey because elements in society made me feel that the moments of bullying and sexual harassment I experienced were somehow my fault since I was different.

It is true that I am different but my transness is beautiful and does not definitely make me lesser. This change in perspective and behavior is vital to live my truth and in sharing my truth with you, I hope to inspire a change in people’s perspective and together liberate ourselves from pre existing social prejudices so that we all can live our truth freely."
