2009 marked the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and the start of the global LGBT movement. This year’s events included the Pride March, LGBT Film Festival screening Ma Vie en Rose, I Can’t Think Straight and Ben and the WomenSpace event.
In addition it also featured a concert by the Pink Singers, a London based gay and lesbian choir, who teamed up with the Young Christian Workers Choir, Symphonik.
The idea came about thanks to Andrew, a young gay Maltese man who joined the Pink Singers choir following his move to London some years ago and who had friends in both MGRM and Zghazagh Haddiema Nsara (ZHN)
