Calling all ITS past students for IDAHOBIT!

The Institute of Tourism Studies in collaboration with Allied Rainbow Communities, organisers of Malta Pride, are planning a social media campaign on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia, taking place on the 17th May.

Campus life can be intimidating for young LGBTIQ+ individuals who feel invisible, unwelcome and unable to express themselves freely which may have a negative affect on their wellbeing. Nevertheless, the hospitality industry has always been a refuge for LGBTIQ individuals for many decades all over the world.

After graduating, ITS alumni often feel more at ease with being who they are. For this reason, we would like to invite all past students and ITS staff who identify LGBTIQ or straight allies to send a photo of themselves with a message of support on communications@its.edu.mt as part of this campaign by 12th May 2021.
