We Exist

Allied Rainbow Communities is proud to be launching its first book publication entitled "We Exist: Narratives of LGBTQ+ Migrants, Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Malta".

This book captures real life accounts of 4 nonEU LGBTIQ people living in Malta who have experienced discrimination, xenophobia, racism and harassment from all fronts.

This book was conceptualised after three members of ARC attended an ERASMUS+ Training hosted by Associazione GIOSEF Torino on Queer Asylum Seekers, #Refugees and #Migrants. Following the training course, the members engaged with a number of migrants themselves to understand their situation better.

The stories captured aims to give a voice to the silenced and shed some light on the daily challenges our LGBTIQ+ siblings face so that we may open up our minds and hearts.
