LGBTIQ Research Symposium - Call for Abstracts



The Department of Gender Studies with the support of MGRM, the HRID and the Institute of

European Studies is pleased to announce a Research Symposium on LGBTIQ issues to be held on

17 May 2019.

LGBTIQ Research Symposium

Call for Abstracts:

The main aim of this symposium is to bring together under-graduate and post-graduate students as well as

academics, from various departments and faculties, who are interested in research on LGBTIQ topics.

The research symposium will take place on the evening of 17 May 2019 as part of the IDAHOT activities.

The themes chosen for this symposium will therefore be a reflection of the studies that have been

conducted by under-graduate or post-graduate students on LGBTIQ. The authors of the study will be

allocated 12 minutes for a presentation.

Abstracts of research studies that have been conducted within the last 5 years are being accepted for the

symposium. Abstracts of not more than 300 words should be sent to lgbtiqsymposium2019@um.edu.mt

by 11 January 2019. Preliminary enquiries should also be sent to this email address.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by 18 February 2019. Papers from the

proceedings of the Symposium will be published.
