20 Years of Trailblazing Exhibition

Serving as a contribution to Malta's 2021 cultural landscape, the exhibition will feature a pictorial history of MGRM and the Maltese LGBTIQ community, alongside an exclusive display of Katya Saunders' wardrobe.

This exhibition is a celebration of our work in advocacy and in supporting our community over the last 20 years, but it is also a celebration of the power of volunteering, and how volunteers work to make Malta a more inclusive society.

In addition to the history of MGRM, this exhibition also includes a tribute to one of the earliest trailblazers of the LGBTIQ community in Malta, the fashion model Katya who appeared in our events.

We would like to thank VOPS 2021 for funding this exhibition, the MGRM volunteers throughout the years and the photographers whose work you see in the exhibition.

We would like to stress that the images gathered in the exhibition represent only some of our work. With the need to offer a safe space, much of what MGRM does is not photographed.
