About the event

The Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIGESC) Unit within the Human Rights and Integration Directorate (MEAE) will be hosting its first annual conference, at which the Unit will present the work done during the last year, in achieving the measures outlined in the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy and Action Plan 2018-2022.

The Conference, entitled Towards 100%: Advancing LGBTIQ equality in Malta and Globally is to be held during Pride Week on Friday, the 13th of September, between 9.00am and 1.30pm, at The Palace Hotel in Sliema.

It will include the presentation of the annual report, a key note speech by Tony Briffa, a leading intersex activist from Australia and two panel discussions, the first focusing on mainstreaming initiatives being implemented nationally and the second on Malta’s role in advancing LGBTIQ equality at the global level.
