Queerness matters at home: Our storytelling space (Community Discussion)
This queer space invites members of the Maltese LGBTIQ community - young and old - to discuss our ways of “making ourselves at home”. This will be done through the use of everyday objects which could range from photos to memorabilia that make up daily life experiences.

About the event
This queer space invites members of the Maltese LGBTIQ community - young and old - to discuss our ways of “making ourselves at home”. This will be done through the use of everyday objects which could range from photos to memorabilia that make up daily life experiences.
The aim is to challenge the normative and traditional understanding of home space which can often side-line other domestic ways of being. Born in such a context, most LGBTIQ experiences are shaped by this larger understanding which is taken to be the natural way of being at home.
In this safe and queer space, we will use objects that represent our queerness in order to share our stories. We hope to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness through a casual conversation about cooking, crafting, decorating, eating and debating LGBTIQ home-making in everyday Maltese homes.
