About the event
In Malta, we celebrate the progress in the last few years, but acknowledge that there is more to be done. The legislative progress is to be celebrated but not taken for granted. Subtle messages in the name of freedom of speech and freedom of expression do not excuse for oppression to happen.
On the 16th of May, the eve of IDAHOBIT, together with LGBTI+ Gozo, all LGBTI+ & People living with HIV in Malta organisations will join together for one aim, that of discussing the relevance of IDAHOBIT in 2020, and highlight the major challenges faced in COVID - 19 and what the future holds.
The discussion will be split into 3 panels: 10:00 - Discussion about People living with HIV. 10:30 - Trans* reality and the role of parents in the Queer movement 11:00 - Pride in Malta and an in-depth review of Malta in the Rainbow Index 2020.
