Moussa from ARC - allied rainbow communities represented Malta Pride at a meeting in Marseille, France with other Pride Organisations from the Mediterranean region.
The main discussion was about the challenges and difficulties in arranging the Prides in the Med and the difference in north med and south med.
The common difficulty between all of us was to have the LGBTQ community unified to work together in one event without competition. Beirut Pride faces difficulties of religious counter measures against them from hard-line religious entity but they will still pursue Pride Beirut in October.
The discussion then focused on the participation of women in the Prides in the Med which are dominated by men and the need for more inclusion of all genders in organising events for the community.
