MUA Bernard Gellel transforms himself into 9 mental illnesses for MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
Young but super talented make-up artist Bernard Gellel (instagram: @bernmk) has been gracing us with series after series of make-up themes, from celebrity look-a-likes, zodiacs and outwardly transformations during COVID19.
Mental Health Awareness Week took place between 18-24 May 2020 and no one managed to put the message across so creatively as this lad.
Bernard transformed himself into 9 forms of mental health illnesses, each captioned with a particular message tied to that illness: Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Loneliness, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, Paranoia.
The below caption is where he depicted loneliness
LONELINESS 😷😓
“I’ve lost contact with the outside world. I’m stuck between 4 walls that feel as if they’re closing in on me. Staying up to date with social media has me hoping on receiving that message which sends me ablaze, but I find nothing. I think social media only made things worse for me, especially in this situation. I rely on it way to much which leaves me in a solid state of LONELINESS. It feels like I have to embrace being lonely but it’s only easier when written down” - Sent in by a close friend of mine. - 💗On a side note-
