It was a pleasure meeting some team members of the Pride Network at the HSBC Call Centre in Swatar. HSBC is a model employer in ensuring LGBTQ+ staff members feel safe, welcomed and represented at their place of work.
The Pride Network's role is not just merely to get organised during the Malta Pride March but also in ensuring that staff members who are LGBTQ+ know that the workplace has a zero tolerance policy for discrimination and abuse, educate staff about Diversity and organise activities throughout the year.
Organisations with an LGBTQ+ network have shown to retain staff for longer, increase productivity and wellbeing in general.
