Earlier this morning members of the Maltese LGBTI Consultative Council along with the National Council of Women and Malta Confederation of Women's Organisations met European Union's Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourová. During the meeting held at Dar l-Ewropa, activists raised issues and suggestions for the betterment of the LGBTIQ community on both a local and European level. Key issues discussed were:
Legislative status and Initiatives
Education of Students and Educators
LGBITQ health particularly reproductive rights and HIV & SAI's
Depathologisation of Transgender individuals
Ms Jourová listened and thanked those present for their input.
