Congratulations to Hon Helena Dalli winner of the European Diversity Awards, Hero of the Year 2016.
The Awards which took place yesterday at the Natural History Museum in London. Have become the continent’s most prestigious and widely respected diversity event. Recognising individuals and organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to equality, diversity and inclusion across Europe, the EDA brings together under one roof the leading movers and shakers in business, media and politics. The EDA recognises achievement in all areas of diversity: race, age, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity and belief.
Hon Dalli has worked hard to introduce several laws to protect minorities rights and became a champion for equality. The Civil Unions and the GIGESC act were two of the laws that Hon Dalli tabled in Parliament. In 2014 and 2015 Hon Dalli has been awarded the Malta LGBTI Community Awards for her work for the LGBTIQ community.
