Today is IDAHOT the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia. Today Sexual and gender diversities are "celebrated worldwide", but unfortunately not all countries are open and welcoming to the LGBTIQ community, Unlike Malta and several other European countries where LGBTIQ individuals are protected by law and there is a general positive approach to LGBTIQ individuals, in several other countries LGBTIQ people still face persecution (recently we heard of Chechnya Gay Purge).
For the second year running Malta has ranked #1 in the ILGA Rainbow index (read more)
but there still is more to be done to achieve full equity, mainly in LGBTIQ health related areas, education and training.
We would to encourage you to share these posters from the IDAHOT 2017 campaign on social media to help promote love and diversity and make a stand to homophobia.
