LGBTIQ people and Sex Workers' Rights - Monday 4th September

We are pleased to invite you to a Malta Pride event, Community discussion: LGBTIQ people and Sex Workers' Rights.

Date: Monday 4th September 2017

Time: 16.30 - 19.30

Venue: Cottonera Resource Centre, Fortini, St Edward Street, Birgu

The aim of this event is to start a community discussion about the points of intersection in LGBTIQ people's rights and sex workers' rights.

Our guest speaker will be:

  • Luca Stevenson, Co-ordinator, ICRSE (International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe)

We welcome the entire diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary, queer, intersex communities and allies. This is an opportunity to

  • learn about sex workers’ organising and the human rights of sex workers

  • share thoughts and opinions

  • reflect on ways LGBTIQ organisations and communities can support and include sex workers in their work

This is a community event and we'd like to keep the place safe for all to express their thoughts and opinions. No politicians and media are / will be invited.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 4th September!
