Gaymalta.com is online!

An issue that several LGBTI individuals raised during arc's community outreach events, was that in Malta there is no centralised LGBTIQ hub of information. Tourists and locals alike looking for information on anything LGBTIQ in Malta are finding little reliable information online.

Several websites exist promoting several closed down LGBTIQ bars, clubs and venues. There is scattered and sometimes outdated information on Health, Local LGBTI Law and LGBTI Services (which is a shame considering the effort and excellent services provide by NGOs and the legal achievements Malta has made in the past years). Also little or wrong information on upcoming events such as Pride Malta, LGBTI Awards, Parties, Social Activities etc.

Facebook seems to be the only partially updated LGBTIQ online point of information, yet not everyone has facebook and some people expressed difficulty liking LGBTIQ pages or joining LGBTIQ groups as they are not out, besides the fact that it is very difficult to follow so many different pages, groups etc on a daily basis.

As part of its community building efforts ARC has decided to purchase and develop

www.gaymalta.com into a maltese LGBTI community website. Gaymalta.com is now online and we invite you to use it to your benefit.

Amongst others The website features:

LGBTIQ Health Section & List of Services.

News.

and more sections are coming up soon!

We invite you to visit the website and Feel free to list your LGBTIQ event or venue.
