LGBTIQ rights featured in the "Jum il-Vitorja" (Victory Day) speech. The speech by Silvan Agius Director of Human Rights and Integration Directorate at The Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties, amongst others spoke about: Divorce, Family Friendly initiatives, Immigration, Democracy, Civil Unions & the GIGESC (Gender Identity, Gender Expression And Sex Characteristics Act). The speech concluded with "this is the Malta we should aspire for"
